Yesterday, when you turned your clock back one hour, as a result of day-light savings time, did you also remember to check the batteries in your smoke detectors? Smoke detectors save lives! Recently in the news, there have been stories concerning house fires. These stories remind us how important smoke detectors are in our homes. Make sure your home, apartment or any other type of dwelling is equipped with operational smoke detectors. If you rent, make sure you notify your landlord to check the detectors in the building.
