After enjoying unusually warm weather in the Cleveland area in November, the winter weather has now hit and is creating havoc on local roads. With the bad weather comes a higher number of car accidents. The increase in accidents should be a reminder to all drivers that during our winter months, extreme caution should be used when driving. Slow down! Give yourself more time to get to your location. Make sure all of your car windows and mirrors are clear and you can see all around your vehicle. If you do get in an accident, make sure you are in a safe location before you exit your vehicle. Exchange all applicable driver information and make sure the necessary police report is generated. Should any concerns about the cause of the accident arise make sure you talk to your insurance representative and your attorney.
